Alice is home to two of Australia’s most challenging and extreme sporting events, the Anaconda MTB Enduro Challenge and the Tattersall Finke Desert Race. The Anaconda MTB Enduro 90 km mountain bike challenge is staged throughout the MacDonnell Ranges over five days each May. The challenge pushes cyclists to their limits with heart pumping inclines and gripping elevations. The Tattersall Finke Desert Race is held over two days in June and is one of Australia’s ultimate off-road racing events attracting over 500 competitors(buggies, cars and dirt bikes) from all over Australia.
