Cultural Alice
Araluen Arts Centre is the focal point of Alice Springs’ performing and visual arts scene, incorporating galleries and a theatre. The Precinct incorporates the Namatjira Gallery, Museum of Central Australia, Central Australian Aviation Museum, the Strehlow Research Centre and a variety of art and craft displays. The complex educates visitors on the cultural history and Indigenous significance of this beautiful landscape. A wide selection of national performances and shows make it onto the Centre’s annual calendar, from opera, ballet, theatre, music, and the weekly Art House Cinema films.


A must see attraction of Alice Springs is the Alice Spring’s Desert Park located 10 minutes from Alice. This multi-faceted nature park is broken up into three distinct habitats; woodland, desert rivers, sand country, the nocturnal house and, the nature theatre. These displays allow visitors to interact with and examine the Territory’s finest flora and fauna displays. Visitors can choose a guided tour, or follow the clearly marked track around the park and interact with the exhibits at their own pace. The Alice Springs Desert Park has BBQ, car park and toilet facilities available allowing for a full day of fun and adventure.
